Melissa Arvizu is a litigation attorney who focuses her practice on real estate, business, and bankruptcy litigation and counseling in Texas state and federal courts.
As a first-generation attorney, the pursuit of stellar client service is the foundational cornerstone of her practice. She strives to produce outcomes from the litigation process that align with the business needs and goals of clients.
Melissa knew early on she wanted to practice law, as advocating for others came naturally to her. To gain quick exposure and experience in litigation, she started her career as a trial paralegal while working on her undergraduate degree. Prior to joining the firm, Melissa represented property and casualty insurance carriers in matters involving first-party disputes and coverage analysis.
Melissa earned her B.A. in Humanities – Pre Law at the University of Houston Clear Lake. She later went on to receive her J.D. from South Texas College of Law where she served as an Articles Editor of the South Texas Law Review and graduated summa cum laude.
Melissa is a native Houstonian. She currently serves as an active pro-bono lawyer for Kids in Need of Defense (K.I.N.D.). Outside of her career, she enjoys weight training, boxing, and traveling.
