For the immediately preceding 16 years prior to joining Wilson Cribbs + Goren, Marc served as the leader of the Growth Division at Weingarten Realty Investors.
For 15 of his 16 years with the company, he served as Vice President/Associate General Counsel. His division was responsible for all acquisitions, dispositions, loans, and joint venture arrangements, typically handling transactions in excess of 1 billion dollars a year. Marc was principally responsible for all portfolio acquisitions and sales, including a portfolio that included more than 50 properties.
Over his career, he established the reputation of being the “go-to” person to resolve what seemed to be unsolvable. Marc’s clients view him as a valued business advisor by helping them identify and, more importantly, resolve significant issues so the team could get the deal done.
For the 24 years prior to joining Weingarten, Marc was a principal founder and managing partner of a boutique law firm. There, he was responsible for overseeing and handling all real estate and corporate matters, as well as managing the majority of administrative tasks to keep the firm running smoothly.
Marc received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and received his B.B.A. degree in Accounting from Bernard Baruch College in New York.
Outside of the office, Marc loves to travel and spend time with all of his grandchildren. He especially enjoys sharing his passion for golf alongside his grandson. Additionally, he dedicates a significant part of his spare time serving on nonprofit boards, executive boards, and holding leadership positions on various committees, including fundraising, for such organizations.
